 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

**As of 3-30-2020, all Mapleton CAP general membership meetings held on the first Tuesday of every other month are cancelled until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.**

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every other month from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  Lunch is served at each meeting and RSVP is requested to the hosting company.  The final meeting of the year is a more formal luncheon at an area restaurant.  At the final meeting of the year, the location of the February meeting is decided.  At the February meeting, the schedule for the year is set. Contact one of the members on the contact page for the current schedule of locations.

ANNUAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE

Every year, a tabletop or full scale drill is performed among the member companies.  The mock emergency scenario varies between weather events, chemical releases, fires, etc. This occurs on the second Thursday of October from 9-12 AM.

ANNUAL EVENING COMMUNITY MEETING

We hold one event in the evening for the public to attend. This event includes presentations and gives all Mapleton residents an opportunity to communicate directly with the facility representatives.  No RSVP is necessary and refreshments are provided. This occurs on the third Thursday of October from 6-8 PM.

TESTING OF EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION RADIOS

At 10:00 AM on the first Tuesday of each month, there is a test of the radios that would be used to communicate during an emergency.  There is a roll call for member companies and groups like the Post office and Recreation Center to ensure necessary information is able to be communicated in case of an emergency.  Member companies and organizations turn their radios to ERT channel for the duration of the exercise.
